# Job Description
Provide direct supervision to a group of 10 to 12 Combat Systems and C4I engineers, technicians and associate engineers
Lead, mentor, provide feedback to and evaluate employees
Ensure continuity of service when employees are on vacation, sick or otherwise unavailable
Assign Ship Alts and projects to employees to achieve balance-of-workload and to capitalize on individual strengths
Lead regularly scheduled and special purpose meeting and events
Be responsible and accountable for all Combat Systems/C4I engineering activity within DDG/FFG Planning Yard engineering, including schedules and quality
Provide weekly status and participate in regular Planning Yard management meetings
Interface with PMO, Materials, ILS and other groups on Combat Systems/C4I engineering issues as required
Be the primary Combat Systems/C4I interface to PEO Ships and other Navy customers
Interface with NAVSEA, the NSWCs, and other contractors as required in seeking solutions for Combat Systems/C4I issues
Act as technical point of contact (TPOC) for selected Ship Alts and projects as required
Participate in off-site meetings and other events occasionally
Work special projects as assigned
# Required Education/Training
BS in an engineering discipline required. Post graduate technical or management education desirable
# Experience
12
years experience in a ship integration role strongly desired
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Ability to be organized and follow-up on issues until they are fully and satisfactorily completed is essential
Strong oral and written communication skills required
Must be fully competent in MS Office products
Must have the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of changing and often-conflicting priorities
Self-motivation and a strong ability to contribute in a team environment required
Ability to execute multiple simultaneous projects required
Ability to travel domestic and international occasionally for business purposes is required.
