1st Overview The Systems Integration organization supports the development and implementation of Combat Systems (CS) changes and has technical responsibility for supporting Combat Systems Integration on DDG(X) Program.
Technical responsibilities may include Combat Systems Alignment, Topside Integration, Warfighting Performance and Analysis, and Survivability.
Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical leadership for all assigned systems and related tasks.
Develop & maintain Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models using CAMEO software for assigned systems.
Participate in and/or lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in early development of ship design.
Act as Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for significant CS changes.
Interface with the Navy, Navy Contractors, Functional Engineering, Class Design, BIW and HII Follow Yard Services to resolve technical issues.
Develop and process Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in accordance with schedule constraints.
Ensure that all developed ECPs meet applicable functional engineering and Navy specification requirements.
Provide technical support to Operations for the resolution of issues.
Provide support to Planning for development of accurate implementation plans.
Provide support to Estimating for development of accurate cost estimates.
Develop and deliver presentations to management and/or Navy personnel.
Develop ROM estimates for emergent CS Engineering work.
Participate in and/or lead off-site meetings and other events occasionally.
Head up special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities BS in Engineering required.
Qualifications 1
years experience (Engineer II) Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to organize, plan, and execute projects.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
Highly motivated, strong attention to detail with proven ability to work independently.
WINDOWS, WINDOWS software, and MS Office products operating skills are required.
Experience with Microsoft Excel required.
Ability to solve and explain complex technical issues.
Demonstrated ability to work multiple priorities simultaneously, and to completion.
Familiar with Requirements Definition.
SECRET clearance or ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
Experience with Naval Ship Topside and Combat System Design.
CAD skills are desired.
