54 per hour with step progression We are looking for outgoing candidates who enjoy working with people, are eager to learn, and are excited to grow within our organization as a Junior Underwiter.
This postion is an in-person position out of our Bath, Maine office.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Underwriting Department with processing information related to loan applications which will include putting together denials, scanning documents, and assisting others with additional tasks.
They will also learn the process and procedures for consumer lending with the intention to review and make decisions in the future.
While successful candidates should demonstrate professionalism, attention to detail, and dependability, we will train you when it comes to the daily skills needed, including maintaining records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable policies and regulations, and referring helpful products and services to our membership, along with performing other duties as needed.
Experience preferred but not required.
Paid training.
This position consists of four 10 / 10.
5-hour days on a rotating two-week schedule.
The department is open from 8:
00 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday; 8:
30 am to 5:
00 pm on Saturday.
We are closed on Sundays in all locations.
This is a full-time position with benefits.
We are open most holidays and for those holidays that you work you would receive double time.
We are closed as a company on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day therefore you will never be asked to work those four holidays.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS JUNIOR UNDERWRITER
Essential Functions:
Complete denial packets within the time frame required by compliance.
Complete cancellation packets in a timely manner.
Scan loan documentation from loan closings to the archives (Synergy & DocuSign)Updating the loan cancellation sheet daily with the In-Progress loans report or requests from processors.
This includes listing the reason why the application is being cancelled (if stated) for tracking purposes.
Assist with loan closings via DocuSign by ensuring information is complete, file maintenance has been completed and packets have been put together correctly.
Assist Underwriters with entering in approvals, reviewing, and noting documents.
Low level approval authority.
Outline of what qualifies will be provided by manager once authority has been granted.
Sending out Formstack web applications along with updating the partial applications spreadsheet.
Retrieving loan documents for staff when requested.
Real Estate Payoffs & DischargesTotaled Vehicles & filing GAP Claims.
Back up titles as needed.
Perform other duties and functions as assigned.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
