Job Description Analyst 2
The primary responsibilities of this position is to support the procurement of supplies and services in the areas of analyst functions / cost/price analyst functions in support of various acquisition activities for Navy new construction, overhaul, technology transfer and capital projects with Supervisor / Mentor guidance.
Analyst 3
The primary responsibilities of this position is to conduct all aspects of Supply Analyst functions, Cost Analyst functions in support of acquisition, administer subcontracts and/or for various ship programs and capital projects, with minimal Supervision / Mentor guidance.
Required Education/Training Analyst 2
Bachelor''s degree required in Business, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Analyst 3
Bachelor''s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of business experience, Supply Chain experience preferred.
Experience Analyst 2
Non Supervisor intermediate level position in the Materials Division.
oPractical and working knowledge of business practices and analytical skills that would normally be obtained through the receipt of a degree or work experience.
oProven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
oStrong PC skills in Microsoft suite with emphasis on excel.
oBasic understanding of accounting, supply chain functions or related experience.
oProven ability and desire to learn.
Analyst 3
Non Supervisory intermediate level position in the Materials Division.
oProven ability to manage complex analyst or related experience with minimal direct supervision.
oProven ability to evaluate, negotiate and prepare price/cost analysis independently.
oKnowledge of inventory management and accounting practices.
oMay be called on to act in a project or team leadership capacity.
oProven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
oStrong PC skills in Microsoft suite with emphasis in excel.
Unique/Additional Requirements Strong PC Skills, particularly with MS Excel and MS Access software, as these will be the key tools of the candidate. Attention to details and strong organizational skills are imperative to the success of the qualified candidate. Proven versatility & adaptability to program requirements. Ability to assemble a wide volume & variety of data into summaries & conclusions for decision making.
