Job Description >Analyze the systems used at BIW (e.g. operating systems, hardware, software, networks).
>Coordinate with the client to define problems.
>Coordinate with the multiple organizations to establish current and future information systems requirements.
>Analyze detail systems factors, including input and output of requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements and reliability characteristics.
>Develop systems specifications that address business requirements and fit with company architecture standards while observing various constraints (e.g. cost, time, security).
>Assist with developing cost benefit and investment justification for systems implementation.
>Ensure data management practices are consistent and robust throughout the organization.
>Oversee benchmarking and piloting activities that assist with proving out technology use and business process improvement objectives.
>Develop and maintain information systems key vendor relationships.
>Inform and advise management on the technological and organizational impacts of new information systems options.
>Work closely with BIW's IT service provider personnel.
>Perform reviews of systems design specifications provided by the IT service provider to ensure it will meet requirements.
>Provide leadership to client and technical teams working systems implementation projects as needed.
>Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies used at BIW.
>Assist with the development of a multi-year IT Strategy.
Required Education/Training >BS Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline required.
>10-15 years of directly related computer systems analysis and /or programming experience required.
>Have a systems and technological vision for information systems.
>Possess leading edge technological skills (hardware, software, security, network, infrastructure, telecommunications, and internet)
Experience >5-7 years of demonstrated collaboration with multifunction teams and leadership at consensus building.
>Extremely strong communication and teamwork skills.
>Negotiation and persuasion skills.
>Have experience with leading projects or professional certification.
