Job Description Bath Iron Works is a subsidiary of General Dynamics, the fifth-largest defense contractor in the world. Support other Engineers, designers, vendors, and Managers with the following duties:
Act as Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for all assigned Hull Outfit/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical ship ECPs/PCs.
o Assemble necessary information into ECP/PC packages suitable for use by Design in Revision Notices development
o Represent BIW with customers (Navy, Manufacturing, Detail Design, Procurement, QA, etc) to resolve technical issues, recommend changes and maintain technical documentation.
o Provide technical support for ECP/PC development for engineering issues associated with assigned changes and systems
o Develop, document and present technical position on requirements compliance issues related to design and construction within assigned area of cognizance.
o Participate on integrated product and process teams.
o Develop and define ship system engineering requirements and relate them to top level performance requirements.
o Write/review Technical Data Packages for all assigned changes
o Support Design in the resolution of waterfront engineering issues that may arise during system installation
o Develop ROM estimates for assigned design and engineering work
o Work special projects as assigned
Required Education/Training Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required, Electrical / Marine preferred
Experience Engineer III
o 3-5 years experience in Hull outfit or Electrical or Mechanical ship integration is required
o Familiarity with ship construction and specifications required
o Experience with ship change processes, products, and customers preferred
o Occasional business travel is required
o Must have the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of changing and often-conflicting priorities
Senior Engineer
o5 plus years experience in Hull outfit or Electrical or Mechanical ship integration is required
o Familiarity with ship construction and specifications required
o Experience with ship change processes, products, and customers preferred
o Occasional business travel is required
o Must have the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure of changing and often-conflicting priorities
Unique/Additional Requirements Ability to obtain security clearance
o Ability to travel
o Strong research skills and the ability to pay attention to detail is required
o Self motivation and a strong ability to contribute in a team environment required
o Must be competent in MS Office products and generally PC savvy
o Strong oral and written communication skills required
o Project management and coordination skills
o Ability to plan, organize and execute projects
o Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
