Remote Network Engineer

A Remote Network Engineer Job in Bath, ME is currently being recruited for by Adecco Engineering and Technology.
You will be responsible for both Remote Helpdesk Support as well as on-site Network Engineering support at customer locations in Maine.
You will handle critical and high priority Tier 2 Help Desk calls and emails and handle onsite network installations, maintenance and support, including server, hardware and software infrastructure.
This is a temp to hire position for candidates with 3 or more years of hands on professional experience.
Remote Network Engineer Job Responsibilities include:
Handle network installation, maintenance and support, including server hardware and software infrastructure.
Implement, maintain and monitor network security and provide secure remote access solutions.
Provide remote/onsite technical support using advanced remote support tools.
Provide shop support as required, including:
installing software and operating systems; updating programming and performing computer upgrades; building up servers and setting up computers and configurations to meet customer requirements; performing diagnostics, maintenance and repair on desktop and notebook computers.
Handle Critical and High Priority Help Desk issues and Tier 2 Help Desk calls and emails which have been escalated from the Help Desk Technician.
Provide quality and efficient customer support via phone or remote assistance.
Review information gathered and determine additional actions required to resolve issues.
Provide remote technical support including diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving computer hardware, software, network and/or mobile device support issues.
Clearly document all additional information gathered, and action taken and/or research performed.
Handle monitoring and remote checks of customer equipment as assigned.
Perform virus/spyware scans and critical security updates.
Handle DNS administration, implement and configure TCP/IP environments, and remotely troubleshoot network problems.
Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam, network utilities, printing, and security.
Resolve network problems related to traffic and usage patterns, and make technology recommendations.
Analyze and resolve faults, ranging from a major system crash to a forgotten password.
Manage system back-up and restore protocol.
Design, develop and configure networks.
This includes installation and configuration of network hardware, software, peripherals, network wiring and router configuration design.
Maintain network infrastructure and perform analyses of network performance & security.
Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam, network utilities, printing, and security.
Resolve network problems related to traffic and usage patterns, and make technology recommendations.
Perform troubleshooting and analyses of servers, workstations and associated systems.
Project a positive company image when dealing with any customer.
Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, and project a positive company image.
Minimum of Associates degree in related field or IT Certifications (A+/Net+, MCP/MCSA/MCSE and/or other IT certifications.
)Proficient with Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008/2011, Small Business Server, Exchange Server, VMware ESXi, Cisco, Routing, VPN's, and desktop operating systems.
Ability to analyze situations promptly and to determine the proper course of action, including a strong troubleshooting ability.
Ability to deal courteously with customers.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations and self manage.
At least 3 - 4 years experience.
Strong listening and recall skills.
Serving on duty rotation, including carrying and responding to off hours Pager on assigned weeks, will be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
