Mechanical Engineer

Work Description:
Development of new Purchase Specs for equipment to be used on DDG 51 Class Flight III Upgrade.
- Experience in a naval/marine engineering role, with demonstrated familiarity with the selection and specification of naval and commercial shipboard equipment.
- Identification of applicable specifications and standards, including Federal standards (such as Mil Specs and Mil Stds), Commercial specs (such as ASTM, ASNE, ) and others as required for a particular equipment
- Familiarization with shipboard piping design and/or intake/uptake design
- Familiarization with integration of equipment with shipboard piping systems
- Identification of required Vendor deliverables/SDRLs (Shipboard Data Requirements List)
- Identification of Testing Requirements including First Article Testing and recurring unit testing
- Requires Strong technical writing ability
- Requires interface with company's Electrical Engineering for development of electrical/electronic/controls aspects of equipment
- Requires interface with various Navy Technical Codes, and may require interface with vendors.
- Requires proper handling, safeguarding and dissemination of Navy Technical Data

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
