CDI Government Services is currently recruiting a System Administrator in Norfolk, VA for the Fleet Introduction Support Program.
Overall responsibility for supporting WAN network segments, internet access and intranet systems
Maintain system efficiency, troubleshoot problems reported by users
Make recommendations for future upgrades
Position is contingent upon contract award
Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
Evaluate and modify system's performance
Identify user needs
Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches
Track, plan, and document results of scans, to include the Scan and STIG and SRG results and residual risks
Manage naming service records to provide resolution for ship mail exchangers and web servers.
Interface with ships' personnel for public key infrastructure (PKI) certificate installation and user familiarization.
Provide IT system configuration records upon completion of system installation or upgrade.
Provide technical support to Ship's IT Forces located in PCU/PCDs.
Provide IT support to ships crews for accessing Learning Resource Centers in PCU/PCDs.
Review and update the Backup/Restore Procedures for moving Ship data from PCU Ship set computer systems to Shipboard computer systems. Contractor shall familiarize the PCU with Backup/Restore procedures as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and associated contingency planning documentation and scenarios for system restoration.
Provide a central help desk , operating during normal business hours (weekdays from 0600-1800), offering on-call technical support, ticket completion tracking, and reporting to Ship's Force involving hardware/ software problems associated with PCU/PCDs. Not required for locations with fewer than fifty (50) computer work stations.
5 - 15 years of experience working with Information Technology
DoD 8570.1M IA Certification
Must be a US Citizen
Proficient with Microsoft products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Applicant must have a current Secret clearance and may be subject to a security investigation to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.
CARRYING and LIFTING. Ability to transport and lift objects up to 30 lbs.
Must comply with Company's Driver Safety Policy if assigned to operate company and/or rental vehicles

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
